What a Big Girl!

Our little baby is just getting so big! She's been doing bettter at standing up on the stroller and other things. She'll push the stroller, but she's not ready to go places yet. Right now, I've got to be right there just in case she falls.

Over the past month or so, Sarah's been "giving love" when she's done nursing. Here recently, she's perfected it. You ask for love, and you'll get it; sometimes it'll just be offered to you. It's so incredibly sweet, and we will never grow tired of it.

This time, she got in the toy box all on her own...

and thought it was pretty funny...

Hanging out waiting to go on a run with Mommy

With this toy, I can leave the room and know she'll be okay. Sarah's really taking a liking to a few of the songs that it plays. She'll dance to the music. She also tries to climb on top of the toy though...not so good.

Eleven Months

Having fun in the bathtub! Sarah likes to splash her hands and kick her legs in the water.

Celebrating Da Da's birthday by wearing camo...

I think I've mentioned that Sarah likes to explore and climb over things. The other day, we found her attempting to climb into/over the end table. It was more of a challenge for her because of all of the openings, but she managed it. Silly girl...

Sitting Up--Done

It's official; Sarah can sit up from being on her tummy now; it's old news at this point because she does it so easily! It's amazing what she is able to master within days of starting to do something new.

Here's the play by play

Did it!

For a couple of days now, Sarah has been laying on her back at times when she plays. She hasn't done this in a long time, so I wanted to get a picture of it.

The girls playing with puzzles; Sarah is actually standing against the table while Addison is sitting at the table.

Pretty Addison giving us a smile!

Pulling Up, Sitting Up, Tummy Up!

A lot has been happening over the past week or so. Last week, Sarah started pulling up and standing for long periods of time (with support). It seems like each day she is getting stronger and stronger. On Monday, she sat up from crawling for the first time. Since then, she's been doing it a little more each day. Sarah is also picking up her tummy and getting on her knees. We are waiting for her to take off any day now!

This is the normal occurrence when we go in to get Sarah from her naps. She's all smiles, and she'll be clapping for you. Sarah has also been waving "Hi" to you more and more. She'll also start laughing if she hears you laughing. That happens a lot in the car. All of a sudden, we will just hear her laughing from the back seat; super cute!

Silly DaDa...

Sarah is also getting quite the personality here lately. She definitely knows what she wants; very determined. She'll shake her head no when she doesn't want to do something. She'll also let you know when she doesn't agree with something you are doing to her. Let the fun begin!

She's not sure what to think about this new toy yet...

I'm a Happy Baby Girl!

I was able to get some pictures of Sarah actually looking at the camera more over the past week. She's still crawling around and extremely active, but at least she stopped enough to let me get her smiling/looking at me in a few. Sarah has also become quite talkative. She's been saying a lot of "a na, a na".

Concentrating on making music; these have actually come in handy while changing Sarah's diapers here recently.

I had to include this one mainly to explain the raising of the hand thing. Sarah has been doing this a lot lately; I guess she's pointing at things, so I'll tell her what I think she's pointing at. Sometimes, though, it seems as though she's just exploring with her hands, like in this one.

I hadn't pulled this one out in a while, and you would have thought it was the best toy ever by the reaction Sarah gave it. Einstein was pretty impressed with it too; well, at least with the strings on it!

I've mentioned before that Sarah takes toys with her as she crawls, but who would have thought she'd take something so big too...

Sarah is finding new places to crawl into/under; very inquisitive.

Enjoying playing in the exersaucer.

I caught her looking again!
Sarah's very excited face, accompanied by some fun noises as well.

Ten Months

Our sweet sunshine!!

Hmmm...what's down there?

Grandma Penny, come save me...

If you noticed, in the past three pictures, Sarah has the purple and orange blocks out of the rest of the colors. We've noticed she's partial to those colors. We aren't sure if it is a color thing or if it is because she likes the shape and how she can grab it, but she almost always goes for these two colors. Also, she's been throwing one in front of her and then chasing it. It's a cute little game she's made up.

Look at Me!

Sarah has been making it more difficult to change her diaper these days. As you can see, she wants to flip over to her tummy. The distraction that we'd hang from the top on the armoire rail doesn't work anymore, so we have to be very creative or usually, her hair brush works. Sarah is also clapping her hands now; it's really cute. Sometimes, we'll catch her doing it in her crib before we get her out in the morning.

Sarah loves to be read to. She gets read to before each nap, and Rusty and I read to her before bed each night. We really enjoy that time with her.

I caught Sarah the other night reading; it was pretty cute because usually she's eating the book, has it upside down, etc, but this time it really looked like she was reading!

We are still working on getting the animals to pop open on this toy. It'll come!

This is one of Sarah's newest toys. She likes the blue computer the most because she can open and close it a lot.
