Solid Food!

Lauren started solids a couple of weeks ago.  First, it was brown rice.  It wasn't that she didn't like it, but she just didn't understand the spoon.  Then, it was bananas, and then oatmeal.  As the days have progressed, she has gotten better; still hasn't mastered the spoon/swallow concept though.  She wants to just suck all of the food off of the spoon instead.  She's definitely a fan of solids though.  I hope to try her on sweet potatoes today or tomorrow.  I'm sure she'll like those too!  She also rolled from her tummy to her back two days ago, and she's found her voice because she likes to randomly squeal!
The girls definitely want to help feed Lauren.
While in Hobby Lobby the other day, Emily wanted me to take her picture with this peace metal decor. Silly girl!

Six Months Old!

Look who is six months old today!  Before I know it, it will be Lauren's one year birthday!  She's such a sweet and relaxed baby!  We love you baby girl!

Sarah and Emily love their baby sister Lauren.  They love to give love to her often.  She likes the love too, but sometimes she's quite overwhelmed by it...

Ice Skating Fun

Rusty took Sarah on a Daddy/daughter date to the ice rink.  They had a great time!

Over the weekend, our church celebrated 25 years!  They held a grand celebration at the main campus in Grapevine.  The service brought back a lot of great memories for Rusty and me, and we are so blessed to call Fellowship our church family!
It was celebrate Dr. Seuss week at Emily's school.  This day, they were to wear red and blue and try not to match, but instead make it tacky.  We tried our best.  She ended up looking more like spiderman though...
Loving on Lauren

Snow Days

We've had quite a bit of fun in the ice and snow over the past week!  Early last week, it iced a lot, so school was out for two days.  The girls enjoyed playing in the ice!

Then, last Friday, it snowed about 2 inches or so?  Rusty and the girls worked hard to make Olafina Mouse!  They did a fantastic job!

We also played in the snow and enjoyed it in our front yard with our neighbors.
Littles wasn't a big fan, but I had to document her first snow.
Then, we woke up to six inches of snow Thursday morning!  It was beautiful!

 Sarah's snow angel
With all of this snow, I might need to invest in some appropriate clothes for them to play in the snow with; Emily kept complaining because her feet were freezing and legs too...they had a lot of fun though!
