Silly Girl

We caught Sarah in her toy box again.  I know she already looks like Rusty, but isn't this picture a complete replica of him?

Sarah looks so old here : (

She likes to do this thing with her hands.

Sarah likes to stand at the gate and watch Einstein.  She'll also go there when she thinks Dadda is home.

We couldn't get the tea set away from Sarah the first day she played with it.  It is definitely a hit with her!

Dallas Arboretum Great Pumpkin Festival

Over the weekend, Cathy was in town, so we took Avery and Sarah to the Dallas Arboretum for the day.  I had never been there before.  It was really beautiful!  As you can see, they had millions of pumpkins of all varieties.

They had four different houses made out of pumpkins based off of a children's story.

 Isn't this just beautiful?!

So sweet sunshine got to have her pictures taken twice in pumpkins.  Enjoy!

 Sarah and Avery

This is Sarah's Halloween outfit; she's suppose to be a butterfly.

We also took some pictures with the flowers.  I plan on going back with Sarah in the spring; I know I'll get better flowers then.

1st Time at Mall Play Area

We've been reluctant to take Sarah to the play area in the mall because those big kids are ruthless and run all over the place.  Well, I gave in and took her the other day.  At the beginning, she was a little overwhelmed; you can tell from this picture that she is just taking it in.  It didn't take long though for Sarah to enjoy herself.  She had such a good time we are going back tomorrow but this time with a friend for Sarah to hang out with too!

There was one girl there that was around Sarah's age; they hung out a bit and played.

Not Again...

But it's so much fun Mama!

Sarah is officially crawling.  She had just been army crawling all over the place, but over the past couple of weeks, she's been doing the real thing more and more.  She is also becoming pretty consistent at signing "more" and "all done" for me.  I was super pumped when she first did it because it seemed like I was signing to a brick wall for so long.  It's pretty cool to see her communicating with me though.  Now, I just need to start adding some more signs for her to learn.  Sarah can also tell you what the doggie and kitty cat say; it's really sweet to hear!
 How cute is this?
We had a slight scare this week.  I'm in the process of weaning Sarah and also introducing whole milk.  Well, a day after introducing the milk, Sarah had a rash all over her chest, tummy and back.  It continued to get worse, and then we remembered the doctor's office said she might have a reaction to the MMR shot as late as ten days after the shot.  Well, that is what is was.  Poor baby looked like she had the chicken pox.  It didn't bother her at all, but it just looked so bad.  The rash gradually faded, and it's almost back to normal again.

Addison is getting to be such a big girl!  Time sure does fly.

Addison was over for a day of fun last weekend.  Overall, the girls played well together.  It seems like they are actually playing "together" more instead of just by each other.  They did have their moments of irritation at times.  It just was super cute to see them, well really I guess Sarah, follow each other around and do what the other was doing.

The Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend, we took Sarah to a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound.  Overall, she had a good time.  It was a neat place, and Sarah will definitely enjoy it more next year and in the years to come.  They had all sorts of fun things for kids to do.  Right when we walked in, we got Sarah her own pumpkin, so it's in every picture!  Enjoy!

1st Time Playing Outside

We took Sarah out in the cul-de-sac to play with her favorite toy for the moment.  She had so much fun!

She would just take off and start going.

One time, she went so fast that she fell, which is why you see her crying.  Her shoulder protected her head from the fall, and we had no scrapes.

A little later, we tried to get her to play again, but she was done.

Kayleigh and Silas had a joint birthday party at Planet Pizza.

Sarah did not know what to think about the mini carousel.

After Daddy won Sarah a bunch of tickets, we got her a tamborine and beads.  She really enjoyed the beads at my Dad's last time we were there, so I figured they'd be a hit.  You know how it is at those game places; the prizes aren't that grand unless you have a million tickets or something.  The beads kept her content the entire ride home.

Just a funny face by Sarah; showing how much in admiration she is of her Daddy

After Sarah's birthday party, we had to find something to put her toys in because they multiplied.  Sarah has definitely gotten used to going to the toybox to pick out what she wants to play with.

She's been pushing her musical table around the house lately.  I have to hold it with my foot or put it against something in order for her to actually play with it the way she's suppose to play with it.

Sarah REALLY enjoys our walks/runs in the mornings.  This week, the temp was in the high 50s/low 60s though, so we had to wait until later to go running.  We tried it one morning, but I just felt silly putting a winter hat or gloves on her already; like it wasn't that cold yet.  When we got back to the house, her face and hands were pretty cold.  So, I guess I can't do that anymore.  She's looking out the window instead hoping I'll give in.  Either that or she was just looking at her reflection; who knows, but I thought it was pretty cute!
