I'm Getting Too Big!

Doesn't she look two years old here?  Not fair at all :(
Sarah loves Shiner; he's actually become her lounge chair lately...
Sarah likes to put everything in a row and usually, it must be straight...
 Having fun at a playdate

Sarah loves chairs.  Every time we go to a playdate that has them, she goes straight to them.  We need to put that on the list!

Sweet Sarah

We've had some nice early spring weather this past week, so it was nice to break out some clothes!
We keep water bottles in the cabinet that Sarah gets to play in.  Sarah has observed this is how the doggie and kitty cat get their water in their bowl, so she now will go and take one of these bottles to the water bowl to refill it for the animals.  It's doable for the half full ones, but when she tries to take the unopened ones, that is a different story.  This then leads to some fuss because she can't pick it up.  Fun times!
We are starting her off early, of course!  Sarah likes to read magazines that we have in the magazine rack.  Probably not a good idea for when she goes to other people's homes, but sometimes it just is going to happen like that...
Sarah likes to look outside and often will say "outside" to me.
She's also still a fan of the kitty cat and doggie; here, she's giving Einstein kisses.  When she gives kisses now, she'll say "mmmaaa".  So sweet!

Hanging out with Addison

The girls enjoy playing with each other so much these days!

Sarah just loves Addison.  As you can see from the picture, she really looks up to her and is just in awe of her cousin!
They took a "break" to watch some TV, well, really, I needed the break!
I asked Sarah to go sit next to Addison so I could take a picture of them.  She decided to try and sit on top of Addison instead.  She gets this from when we read to her before going to bed.  She comes to sit in our lap, so I guess Sarah just wanted to do the same thing with Addison.  Addison really didn't know what Sarah was trying to do, and this is how they ended up.

What a Week!

My last post talked about 70 degree days; that lasted for two days and then...Last Monday evening, a major "arctic blast" as the weathermen call them, flew in and we woke up Tuesday morning to over one inch of ice on our driveway.  It was so bad that I'm pretty sure all school districts in North Texas were closed for the rest of the week!  The temperatures did not get above the mid-20s until Friday, and then I think it was only in the mid-30s.  So, Tuesday through Thursday it was pretty much unsafe to travel, so we were cooped up inside :)  Then, we woke up Friday morning to the picture you see above.  There was the most snow I've seen here since we've moved to Dallas.  As you can see from the picture, you couldn't tell where the sidewalk was nor the street.  It was really pretty and clean snow too.
Sarah wanted to go outside to check it all out, so we braved the cold (for at the most fifteen minutes!)  and took her out to play.  She still wasn't a big fan, but so liked it better than when it snowed about a month ago.

We've been doing some work around the house, and Sarah is very eager to help out.  She had a lot of fun fixing the baseboard and wood floor with Daddy!
