Merry Christmas!

We had many attempts at a "Christmas card" picture, but we couldn't get one where everyone was looking/smiling/happy, etc.  Maybe next year...!
We had Christmas the morning of Christmas Eve at home with our little family.
Lauren thought the bow on her head was funny, and she had fun playing with the wrapping paper and boxes.
Emily was excited to receive a microphone from Santa (the consistent thing she said she wanted every time someone asked her what she wanted Santa to bring this year).
Sarah has become a pro at reading chapter books; she often spends her time reading these days.  I love it!

This present was something the girls REALLY wanted this year.

 LOVE them!

Lauren started taking steps on her own on Christmas Eve, and she continued to do so throughout the Christmas weekend.  She is still yet to just get up and walk, but if you initiate it with her, she will walk around the house for a bit.

Daddy/Daughter date to the DFW airport; the girls enjoyed watching the airplanes with Rusty.

Father Daughter Dance

Rusty took Sarah and Emily to the Father-Daughter Dance last weekend.  This is an event the girls really look forward to, as does Rusty.  They had a great time!
 Warning:  picture overload coming up
 They love each other!

All of the girls' poses were 100% created by themselves!
It'll be Lauren's turn to go before we know it!

Having Fun!

Emily and Lauren like to hang out and play during the day when Emily is not at school.

This is a rare find; Lauren doesn't usually sit still long enough to watch much of any show on the tv.  She ended up lasting maybe five minutes here.

Her new thing she found she can play with...
Lauren is becoming the climber; she likes to climb into chairs,
 on top of boxes,
and even up on top of the step stool...this was scary because I wasn't in the room with her.  She sneaked out and went straight to the stool.  The stool is now put away.

Santa came to Emily's school a couple of weeks ago.  After her class took a picture with him, they took a "silly" photo too.  Emily has a really great class this year!
During Chapel last week, Emily got to be Mary. So cute!

Hunting Trip

Rusty and Ryan took the girls hunting, and they had loads of fun!

The Kindergarteners did a Thanksgiving performance for their parents.  They sang a few songs, and then they had a Thanksgiving feast.  They did a great job!
Lauren will stand up on her own from anywhere to 10 seconds to almost a minute now, but you have to stand her up first.  She thinks it's pretty exciting!
Her sisters do too!
