Happy Valentine's Day!

The best I could do of both of the girls together!
 Sweet Sarah!
Emily loves to smile for the camera these days, but she just says "cheese" the entire time, so her eyes tend to be a little closed!

Emily likes to work on her babies!
She's also doing better with crayons, rather than just putting them in her mouth.
We went to the Sealife Aquarium in Grapevine last Friday with Caroline and Ms. Kim.  The girls had a lot of fun!  Sarah told me her favorite part was the turtle; she was pretty cute!

Sarah really likes to take Emily's hand and take her places around the house, or really anywhere.  The girls were walking to the car from the library, and I thought that was a cute picture opportunity!

Dress Up Time!

Emily likes to dress up in Sarah's play clothes, but this was the first time we actually put a princess dress on her.  It's a little big, but she LOVES to wear it, and Sarah enjoys having someone to play dress up with!

Fire Station Tour

Sarah had a lot of fun touring a fire station last week!  She was able to see the fire trucks, go inside one, see  where the firemen sleep, eat, and hang out, and she even got to see one come down the pole!

 Being silly
When the fireman got completely in uniform and put on his oxygen tank, Sarah wasn't such a fan anymore and she was a little scared, so she didn't go up to him and shake his hand.
Last weekend, Sarah went to her good friend, Caroline's birthday party.  It was a ballerina party, and the girls got to practice ballet moves and rehearsed a routine they performed for their parents at the end of the party!  Sarah had so much fun!
 Learning the routine
Emily had fun too, and she really tried to hang out with the big girls and learn the moves too!

Ross Perot Museum

The Ross Perot Museum just opened in December, so we went to check it out last weekend.  Actually, we tried to go a week prior to that, but we had no idea how popular that place was, nor did we have a clue to buy our tickets online first. So, when we got there at 10am, we were told, after becoming members, that the earliest we could get in was 12:30pm!  Non-members had to wait until 6pm that night!  We had a good time there, but there is too much to see for the attention span of a three year old and sixteen month old, so we'll be going again a few times more this year. One of the exhibits in the Children's Museum was a "construction site" where the kids pretended to load up their bricks and stack them on different areas.  Sarah really liked that part!
 Her hat kept falling off!
They also had a farmer's market where the kids can "buy" food and put it in their baskets and then into their bags when they finished paying for the food.
Emily just liked to carry her bag around!
Emily is sitting in the truck that "brought" all of the produce to the market.  She didn't want to get out of this thing!
They also had a "flower garden" that the girls enjoyed.  They also had a water station, a camping area, an area outside to dig for bones, and an arts and crafts area.  We did not go through all of it, but we will be back soon!

Sweet Sarah!

Emily Shenanigans

Emily has been doing a lot of silly things lately.  This is the notorious "I want some milk" thing she does...it's more like "I wat wa wa", which translates to "I want milk"
Then, of course she likes toilet paper...
And then we found her inside the box of Legos...
She's also been saying a lot of words.  From the top of my head, the newest ones are apple, book, up, and all done.  But, her favorite word still is "baby".
When we go to the library, Sarah likes to "read" to Emily and me.  It's pretty cute; she acts like she's the teacher.  She will also do a puppet show for us.  Love this girl!

White Christmas!

What are the odds of it snowing on Christmas Day?!  We, of course, were in Houston, so we didn't get to witness it, but it was all still there the next day when we returned to Dallas!  I think we got about four inches or so!

Sarah really had a great time playing in the snow and was not the least bit concerned with how cold she was!

Emily liked it until she fell down in it!

Christmas at Uncle Andy's

Our family picture for Christmas 2012!

Emily and Emery enjoyed the train set.
 We love our Yia Yia!

 Sweet Emery

Since Emily had been walking a lot more over the past couple of weeks, I really thought she'd let all of the family in Houston see her do it, but I was wrong...Christmas evening she finally started doing a little more for everyone to see.  Then, about one day after returning to Dallas, the girl is walking around everywhere!
