I've Found My Toes!

Sarah found her toes about a week or so ago. She really likes to play with them; especially when she is getting her diaper changed. I guess this second picture is not the best view, but you get the idea...

The happy family after lunch with PaPa, MeMe, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Rachel, Addison, Uncle Andy and Summer

PaPa and MeMe with their three beautiful granddaughters. We celebrated Addison's first birthday a week early, so the family was in town for that. We had a great time hanging out on Saturday and Sunday!

Well, I hit the big 3-0 this year...Rusty made me a cake and we went out to eat as a family to celebrate; exactly how I wanted to spend the day!

Sarah is lasting longer and longer on her tummy these days. We are trying to work on rolling more, but baby girl just is not that interested. She'll roll on her side a lot, but that's about it.

Rusty randomly started to put toys on her head, and this phone lasted on there for quite a while!

Five Months

Sarah's first flowers. Who did they come from? Her daddy, of course, for Valentine's Day.
She decided to grab the rose.

And then of course try to put it in her mouth!

Addison and Sarah hanging out

Sarah is liking the Jumperoo more and more each day. She's still a little too short for it, so Rusty put a book under her legs, and now she's good to go!

Sarah does not stay where I place her anymore when she plays with the floor gym. She ends up doing a 180 and clear across from where she started!

We still love to greet Sarah when she wakes up in the morning and from naps. She's always giving us smiles!

More Snow Pictures

When we woke up today, the snow was even better, so we took Sarah to the lake and got more pictures. Enjoy!

Sarah's First Snow

We were able to try out the coat we bought for Sarah when we go to Colorado a little early! It snowed quite a lot today in Dallas. When we woke up, it was snowing, and it has not stopped. If I had to guess, we've gotten about five inches so far. I know she looks a little cold here, but believe me, she's not. When I took the coat off of her after we got back inside, she was as warm as could be. I think she was just uncomfortable with how bulky the coat was.

The animals got to experience the snow. Shiner was eating snowballs that Rusty threw at him, and Einstein was not so eager to join in. He's usually so excited to be able to slip outside for a bit, but not today.

Our front yard did not do the snow justice. I think the trees maybe prevented it?

What a Joy!

Rusty and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby! We are so grateful for her, and we just love everything about Miss Sarah!

Eating solids is getting better. Sarah is definitely interested, but she doesn't get what to do with the spoon. She'll open for the food, but she's still pushing it out with her tongue. She will get some, but most of it comes back out. We do have success when I just put some on my finger and let her suck.

Another thing she is doing is trying to take the spoon with her fingers when I try to put it in her mouth. I just decided to let her play with the spoon instead, and of course, she sucked on it!

The monkey hangs from Sarah's changing table. As you can see, she loves to play with him.

Anything I give Sarah to play with ends up in her mouth.

Sarah's striking poses in these last two pictures. Either that, or she's starting to get her rhythm?...
